Spring Fair 2018 – Planning Begins – Call for Volunteers
Date for Spring Fair 2018 has been set for Friday, May 25. Planning has started and we seek a wide range of talents to help make this year’s fair another success. This year, in particular, we are in need of a parent who has skills managing food concession and preferably have Food Safe certification. As with all volunteer positions, you will be supported by the entire group of volunteers. If you are interested in helping with planning or coordinating with the Fair, or have some ideas you would like to share to make our Fair more fun and exciting than ever, we would love to have you join our committee. Please email Linda at email@example.com.
The bottle drive was great success with the help of your empty drink containers and juice boxes. The Grad Committee managed to raise $1223 for the grade 7 camp fund. Thank you, for all who came and help out. Special thanks for Ingrid and Leeann.
Pink Shirt Day
Did you know that Pink Shirt day started in Nova Scotia in 2007. When a male student wore a pink shirt on school on his first of day. Whom was then bullied for it. Two of his class mates bought 50 pink shirts to give to their fellow students. They sent a powerful message of solidarity to the bully. Since, that day in many countries worldwide celebrate it. Wear your pink shirt on February 28th to show your stance against bullying.
