Welcome back to all of our Oppenheimer parents, students and staff! It’s great to have everyone back at school, full of smiles and the promise of a great year ahead. Thank you to those of you that were able to join us for coffee and donuts on the first day of school!
We are happy to introduce you to the elected PAC Executive Committee for the 2019 – 2020 school year:
Esther Moreno & Sara DiMarino Co-Chairs
Serena Woo Treasurer
Carolee Macauley Fundraising Coordinator
Tara Blair Secretary
Mami Iimura, Lisa Lewis, Vivian Kuan Members at Large
Charlie Robinson DPAC representative
You are also a part of the Parent Advisory Council simply by having your child enrolled at our school. We believe strongly in fundraising for our school to offer our staff the financial support they need to offer the students the very best and we also work hard as a PAC to create opportunities for our families to connect and meet each other.
Our next meeting is on Wed, Sept 11th at 6:45 p.m. in the school library. Coming to these meetings is a great way to hear about events in the school, receive updates from the principal and take part in decisions and discussion.
We realize that there are a lot of paper forms that go home with students. Please note that throughout the year, any PAC related notice will be printed on yellow paper. This avoids confusion in determine if the event is a school event or a PAC event. We'll do our best to keep you informed.
Parents Helping Parents
NEW SECTION ON OUR BULLETIN BOARD
Are you looking for a reliable sitter? Do you need help with drop offs or pick-ups? Please feel free to post your information under the, "Parent Helping Parent", heading on the PAC Bulletin Board by the office. Include the date and all the necessary information for another parent to contact you and help you out. PAC will take care of refreshing the postings every month. Happy posting!
Munch a Lunch
Hot lunch dates are up on Munch a Lunch for the Fall session and ordering is now open. A reminder that order cutoff dates for hot lunch are 7 days prior to the lunch date and Popcorn orders require 14 days prior.
Our school PAC is set up with Munch-a-Lunch where parents can order various hot lunch and snack options on-line. Family accounts from last year remain active. Our lunch program provides a break to the parents and offers a nutritious lunch option that the students enjoy. Funds raised from our lunch program goes towards the students by way of enhancing resources for the school. Thank you.
*** Please note: If possible, please place orders for all available dates in one transaction. This will cut down transaction fees, and help keep more profits for our students. Thanks.
We are always looking for volunteers for hot lunch days. If you are able to help out, please contact email@example.com to sign up.
Have you returned your CASL form?
Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (‘CASL’) came into effect on July 1, 2014. This means the PAC will require your permission and consent to send you emails, electronic newsletters, etc. In order for you to receive PAC information via email, please complete your form and return it to your child’s classroom teacher as soon as possible.
