**Happy New Year and Welcome Back**

Welcome back everyone! We are excited to host our next PAC meeting via Zoom again this month. As always this is an opportunity to receive an update on how PAC funds are being raised and spent. As well Hope Sterling, our principal, gives us a school update and questions are welcome. Since internet safety is a pressing issue for both parents and students these days, Kathy Chan - our school liaison officer - will be joining us to give a short presentation and to take questions from parents.

FlipGive Fundraiser

Fundraising with FlipGive is a simple way to support our school while doing your normal shopping. This is a great way for friends and family to support the school without having to buy “other” things – we make a percentage of your regular online purchases! This year our goal is to raise $3500 using FipGive. These funds will go towards classroom funds and future technology school purchases.
How to get started? (click here)
Join our “team”, by download the FlipGive app from the website. You will be asked to enter your unique team code to join David Oppenheimer Elementary.
Our team code is: 233FQC

Want more information? Come to our next PAC meeting!
We will be walking you through how to set this up on your computer or mobile.

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Welcome back to another school year at Oppenheimer, and to all the new Kindergarten parents, we are so happy to have your little ones join us.  Due to COVID, we will be continuing our PAC meetings via Zoom.  For those of you who have not attended before, every PAC meeting includes an update from our principal, Hope Sterling.  And since the meetings are being offered via Zoom, there's an opportunity to listen in as you go about the things that need doing at home in the evenings.

The agenda for this and all meetings along with zoom details are usually emailed to the Oppenheimer school community the week of our PAC meeting.

Thank you to the new members who have stepped in with the PAC. In these crazy times we are looking to create as much simplicity and normalcy to school life as possible and you are all an invaluable part of that family. While this school year definitely looks different we still need and welcome parent involvement to enrich the school experience and support our teachers/staff at Oppenheimer Elementary.

We look forward to meeting you on Zoom.
Here are the upcoming dates for your calendar

Sincerely,
Your David Oppenheimer Executive Committee
