2022/23 SCHOOL WISHLIST
(aka why we fundraise)

  • Classroom funds (for every division and resource teacher)
    • SSA fund to help build "The Pod" (a sensory room next to the Library)
  • Library Funds
    • to purchase new books reflecting our community and Indigeonous resources
  • Music Room Instruments
  • Gymnastics or Dance (for the whole school)
  • Technology Funds 

-All items on this years wish list were approved in the PAC budget in January except for Technology.  The teachers will be forming a committee to determine Technology priorities.  This Item will be addressed later when more concrete numbers are brought forward.

​Hot Lunch Winter session 

A Big Thank you to everyone who has been participating in the Hot Lunch Program. Our thrilling Winter session will be ready for online ordering starting December 17th! We’re very excited to be offering more fun items and hope the kids love it too. A friendly reminder that orders must be received AND PAID FOR seven days in advance for hot lunch/snack days. Fourteen days in advance for popcorn. Late orders will not be processed. 
 
If your child is away on hot lunch days, please email hotlunch.oppenheimer@gmail.com to pick up your order at 12:15pm, otherwise, please consider it a donation.

To use this service, parents simply click on the above Munch-a-Lunch icon above. 
If you are new to munch a lunch you need to register. Click on the "register here" button and follow the simple steps to set up your family account. Once you are registered, you can setup your profile, add your child(ren), view your orders, place & cancel orders and pay for your orders using credit card or cheque. (Sorry no cash) With Munch-a-Lunch, our hot lunch on-line ordering service is now open for your convenience! If you are a returning parent simply go to munchalunch.com and log into your account as usual. ​

Ordering Details:
You will be able to order multiple lunches at a time as well as pay for all of your children’s orders in one transaction. To help minimize fees to the PAC, we strongly encourage paying for multiple orders at the same time.
Please note pizza and TCBY must be received and paid for online 7 days prior to the lunch/snack date. Popcorn orders must be received online 14 days prior to the date. If paying by cheque please place it in the PAC box located in the school office and make cheques payable to 'David Oppenheimer PAC'. Make sure to include your child’s name and division number. Cheques must be dropped off 8 days before the first lunch date in the order.

***Late orders will not be processed***

Class of 2023 Fundraisers

All funds raised will be used to offset the cost of the grade 7 Camp trip and the year end celebration. Thank you for your support.

Bottle Drive

There is also a permanent Bin at South Vancouver Family Place (behind the school), where you can also leave bottles at any time SVFP is open.

Babysitting Course & Stay Home Safe Course

The course was a success with 24 participants.  Thank you.

COVID UPDATE
​

​​Let’s all do our part to keep the case counts low.  Wearing a mask prevents the spread as does washing hands, physical distancing and getting vaccinated (now available for kids 5-11).  But keeping kids/adults home when showing any signs of illness protects our community at large. Remember to conduct the daily health assessment of your child each day before sending them to school. For more information use the links below:
