IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE

HELPING YOU STAY INFORMED
Staying informed is one way to increase your sense of safety through this pandemic. And we as a school community need to do our daily health checks to keep others safe. See below for more details on how to do both:
  • Download the new BC K-12 Daily Health Checker from the App Store.  Also note for young children symptoms can appear as loss of energy and/or appetite. You know your kids best - watch for changes.
  • VCH has an “Exposures in Schools” webpage, click the button below
VCH Covid School Exposures
  • On Feb 11 Vancouver School Board released a new “Covid 19 Safety Plan, Safe Work Instructions and Protocols.  Click the button below to see what changes VSB is making in response to new variants and case counts.
VSB Covid Safety Plan
  • Let’s all do our part to keep the case counts low.  Wearing a mask prevents the spread as does washing hands and physical distancing.  But keeping kids/adults home when showing any signs protects our community at large.

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Due to COVID, we will be continuing our PAC meetings via Zoom.  For those of you who have not attended before, every PAC meeting includes an update from our principal, Hope Sterling.  And since the meetings are being offered via Zoom, there's an opportunity to listen in as you go about the things that need doing at home in the evenings.

The agenda for this and all meetings along with zoom details are usually emailed to the Oppenheimer school community the week of our PAC meeting. We look forward to meeting you on Zoom.
Here are the upcoming dates for your calendar

Sincerely,
Your David Oppenheimer Executive Committee
