About PAC
Oppenheimer PAC is a non-profit organization made up of parents from David Oppenheimer School. If your child attends Oppenheimer Elementary School then you are a member of Parent Advisory Council.
The PAC acts as liaison between parents and the school’s administrators. We organize social events, advocate for students’ needs and raise money to fund school programs and equipment. In addition to fun and social events such as movie nights and Spring Fair, PAC organizes a Hot Lunch program and an annual Yearbook; purchased SmartBoards for each classroom, a new sound system for the school, an iPad lab and subsidize programs such as Gym sense, Skating, Project Chef, and field trips. We meet once a month and the committees meet separately as needed.
To make all this happen, the PAC is run by a group of committed volunteer parents who put in countless hours throughout the year for the benefit of all students.

PAC Meetings for 2023-24
PAC meetings are held once every other month via Zoom. For those of you who have not attended before, every PAC meeting includes an update from our principal, Shannon Burke. The remaining two meetings of the 2023 - 2024 greatly depend on new parents to onboard as the Executive Positions on PAC to help lead our 30+ active volunteers. You are likely not free during school hours but still feel you have 2 hours per month to support the school activities in a leadership role. Please join us during our May and June meetings where the focus is presenting our calendar for 2024 - 2025 of Fundraising Initiatives and filling our Co Chair, Members at Large and Secretary roles.
